So I’ve taken a page from Omar Dogan, an individual that I have a great deal of respect for in his designs and manners. It is unfortunate that I’ve only spoken with him a few times at SDCC but nevertheless he’s inspirational artist. One of the many things I like, he has taken characters from the Capcom universe be it Street Fighter or Darkstalkers and created ‘Alternate’ costumes for them and they are costumes that you’d really see that character wear if they were in a particular situation or mindset.

I thought a lot about what he was doing and I looked around at Cons I kept seeing a trend of characters constantly looking the same. The artist style would be different of course, but the character themselves would always be the same. So from now on I’m trending away from the norm. I want to see these characters in a different light, yet maintain iconic features that have made them who they are.

Felicia Hardy, the Black Cat – was a perfect character to do this with.

Black Cat and Felicia Hardy belong to Marvel Comic, The cover in the background is Black Cat’s first appearance in the Spider-Man Universe.
