Here it is, my personal comic book is finally completed. If you like Noir, Steampunk, Gangsters, flying bullets and beautiful ladies with a dash of comedy then I know you'll enjoy what I have coming.
This is the cover to issue #0 and it will debut during Chicago's Wizard World in August.
Set in an alternate 1932 in the city of New Gettysburg. The story follows Private Investigator Elena Reiyn as she solves the unsolveable mysteries, with a brutual mod triad controlling the city, turn-coat cops and crime stretching from the gutter to the glamour this city will test the virtue of all its citizens. With a dark shadow emerging from the midst of chaos will Elena's quick wits save the day or will she meerely be another victim?
Get in on the 'ground floor' as they call it and enjoy the noir case files of Elena Reiyn.
Story and artwork is all created by Corey Knaebel, all rights and likenesses are reserved and cannot be used, distrubuted or copied.
issue 1 is currently in layout mode the big key is just having fun with it. don't think about sells or any of that nonsense -- I just look at it as making a comic for ME, it is what I want to see and do. of course sells and things like that will happen, but if that is your only motivation the 'product' itself won't be worth a cent.
true that. my thoughts when putting together my own book was always "is this something i want to read" - so i work every day trying to impress myself, and if i do, i'm pretty sure other people will like it to. one other truth is that comic readers - the fans - overall, aren't a terribly picky lot. if you give them something to read on a consistent basis you won't have any problems in the sales dept. while i don't always agree with everything he says, erik larson's new image creator ad has a pretty good quote "if you're not writing or drawing your favorite comic book, you're doing it wrong"
back to the drawing board has a whole new meaning now
congrats - nothing beats getting that first issue in your hands, until you realize you have to make another one lol

Dig the style.
all the interiors are animation cel-shade style and I'm very happy with the results.
