The individuals of Zenescope were so happy with Calie’s Photoshoot (
[link]) I immediately got another opportunity for a solo outing.
The concept behind the image was to make an evil and sexy gal sprouting from the ground. It wasn’t much to go on but then again I really like the creative freedom to just dive right in and go crazy. Knowing she had to be evil and sexy was one thing but how to make her come out the ground was another. I fought several concepts of her walking out of the ground, sprouting out of a flower etc., none of those felt right and they all felt gritty and dark. When a flower blooms or sprouts its usually during pleasant times of the year, nice weather, bright blue skies—the perfect spring day.
With this in mind I had the vision of a girl sort of stretching her arms out slightly feeling the gentle breeze of the wind and sun’s warm rays shining brightly down on her. This alone had the sexiness required but the evil had to step in; some unwelcome guest in her garden that trampled on a vine or flower that would trigger a rather unpleasant feel amongst the beauty and put any green thumb babe in a killing mood. This was my expanded vision of the concept, which ultimately led me to create the image you see now!
